Liaoning Guanda releases new metal powder for additive manufacturing of nickel based high-temperature alloy GD AM247LC

GD AM247LC is a new type of nickel based high-temperature alloy with excellent thermal stability, high-temperature corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and good high-temperature creep performance. It can be used in the production of hot end components for aerospace engines and gas turbines.

The GD AM247LC metal powder developed by Liaoning Guanda New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a specialized powder for additive manufacturing (AM) methods such as laser powder bed Fusion (LPBF).

Advantages of GD AM247LC powder: The working temperature of GD AM247LC is about 900 °C. As is well known, the cracking problem of CM247LC powder printed parts limits its application. Liaoning Guanda New Material Technology Co., Ltd. started with powder and developed GD AM247LC. The mechanical properties of GD AM247LC and CM247LC test specimens manufactured by LPBF are comparable, but GD AM247LC has lower crack sensitivity. The special feature of this alloy is that its yield strength and tensile strength reach a peak at 800 °C .

Recommended heat treatment process parameters:
A:1220°C×2 h,1240°C×2 h,1250°C×2 h ,Air cooling +1080 °C ×4 h,Air cooling +870°C×20 h,Air cooling。
B:1220°C×4h×150Mpa,1250°C×2 h ,Air cooling +1080 °C ×2 h,Air cooling +870°C×20 h,Air cooling。
